The Perfect Weekend

Some weekends are for…

…Mother and daughters time instead of chores.

…Clothes shopping and shoe shopping.

…Laughter and sheer joy.

…DIY hair and nails time.

…No cooking.

…Long drives.

…Celebrating with family.

…Seeing relatives you have not seen in a long time.

…Watching a good movie on TV that renews your faith.

…Just us three.

 I don’t have any pictures of this weekend but what I do have is a memory to treasure…the first time the three of us felt like our “old selves”. Doing what we used to do and feeling okay with it. True joy.

My cousin said it best, ” Your mom looks great. It is so good to see you guys in happier circumstances.”

He was so right.
