Sunday $avings: CVS 1.31.13

It’s been awhile since I’ve had some time to look for good stock up deals. This week the coupons and the deals aligned and I scored a great deal at CVS! I can’t say enough just how much my small stockpile has helped over the last few weeks. Especially that detergent! Laundry is very popular around here these days

I split my CVS trip into two transactions. I took two envelopes and wrote on each what I needed to buy and how much CVS Extra Buck I would be getting back. The plan was to use the CVS Extra Bucks from transaction #1 for transaction #2, therefore making my money stretch as much as possible.

Transaction #1

2 Bounty 6 Pk at $5.99 each
6 Skippy peanut butter jars at $2.50 each
2 Thermacare Heat Wraps at $4.99 each

Retail Price before coupons: $36.96

Coupons used: $1.00 off two bounty packs,$3.00 off each Thermacare heat wraps,plus $5.00 CVS coupon I received via email. That’s a total of $12.00 in coupons, making the total $25.88, including tax.

I also got back $10.00 in CVS Extra Bucks to use on my next purchase.

Transaction #2

2 Dawn dish soap at $0.99 each
1 Cover Girl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm #200 at $8.99
1 Cover Girl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm #205 at $4.49 {On Sale Buy 1, Get 1 for 50% off}

Retail Price before coupons: $15.46

Coupons used: $3.00 off 2 Cover Girl products, $2.00 CVS coupon off $10 make-up purchase, and $10.00 Extra Bucks from transaction #1.

Total for transaction #2 was $0.46 plus $1.37 in tax for a total of $1.83, the tax was more than my total! That’s just awesome!
