On the last Sunday of 2012, I used my newly found coupon knowledge to help my sister get a few necessities from CVS. This has been one of my most successful outings. Here is a visual of the item we purchased.

CVS 12.30.12

  • Head and Shoulders Green Apple 2/ $10
  • Halls Cough Drops 3/$4
  • Eclipse Gum 2/$4
  • Hershey Kiss Holiday 2 @ $1.99 each
  • Duracell  AA 6 pack $5.99
  • Aveeno cream $4.99
  • Aveeno Moisture Wipes $4.99
  • Robitussin $6.99
  • Aveeno Soap Bar 2 @$3.69 each
  • Aveeno Daily Moisturizer $12.79
  • Sally Hanse Hair Remover $6.79
  • Suave Hair Conditioner $1.99

Total before Tax and Coupons: $73.89

When I went to CVS I had a coupon for pretty much everything on the shopping list. I also had $10 in extra care bucks from previous December purchases and $5 beauty extra care bucks. CVS had also sent me and email coupon of $4 off a purchase of $20. That’s $19 off right off the bat. I scanned my CVS card at the coupon machine and it printed out two more coupons I could stack with the ones I already had.

Total in coupons was $42.00!

Even I was surprised. I know I had planned well for this trip but it still blew my mind.

The proof is in the coupons. :)

CVS Receipt 12.30.12

That is a total of 43% savings! :)

I’m definitely a coupon believer now and I’m so glad I figured out the CVS extra care bucks.
